It is definitely beginning to look a lot like the holidays around the Sprout School Supplies' office. We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to even more celebrations over the next few weeks and into the new year. While it is exciting around here, we know nothing compares to the excitement of the holiday season and upcoming winter break than in the classroom. As you may or may not know, our company was founded by former teachers and parent volunteers, so we UNDERSTAND the volume level and electricity that is running through the halls of schools around the country during the month of December. 

With that being said, you might be wondering why now is a good time to get started on a school supply kit program for your school. The short answer is that if you are considering implementing a program for the 2025-26 school year, it is always a good idea to get started early as there are quite a few moving pieces to take into consideration. Plus, we start opening school supply kit sales in late March, so once the new year hits, we’ve got work to do. 

Here are a few simple things you can do now to help move things along… 

Request a Quote

It really is that simple. Our quoting process is super easy and pretty slick. All you need to do is fill out our Request a Quote form and provide us with your school’s current school supply list by grade. Our quoting team will put together a quote for you and have it back to you in a day or two. 

If you haven’t hosted a school supply kit sale at your school before, getting a quote is a quick and easy way to determine if the price is right or not. It is also the perfect opportunity for our Community Outreach Representatives to answer any questions you may have about a school supply kit sale, specific products or brands that we carry (such as Crayola, Elmer’s, Fiskars, Expo, Ticonderoga, along with value options), and ways to give back to your local school community and/or individual students. 

If you have hosted a school supply kit sale in the past and currently work with another company, getting a quote from Sprout offers you the opportunity to compare apples to apples when it comes to kit prices and services. As far as school supply kit companies go, no two are the same. Review your School Supply List

After winter break is over and the holiday hoopla settles down, we begin working with our partner schools to finalize their 2024-25 school supply lists. We recommend sharing last year's supply lists with your teachers as soon as possible and setting a deadline for their changes, so you can compile edits and additions. After you have shared your changes with us, we will update the contents of your school supply kits in our system and send you final proofs and pricing to approve. Once approved by you, we will be set to open your school store this spring. Most of our partner schools' stores will open in late March - early April 2025 depending on when we receive final approval.
